Product Description

ASTM E1354 Heat Release Cone Calorimeter with Imported Oxygen Analyzer

 

Instrument introduction
The cone calorimeter is derived from the oxygen consumption of a rectangular sample (100mm×10mm) tested by Dr. Vytenis Babrauskas at a heat radiation value of 100KW/m2.
The cone calorimeter is based on the principle of oxygen consumption of material combustion. The heat released per 1Kg of oxygen is about 13.1MJ. It measures the heat release of the material, ignition time, oxygen consumption, CO and CO2 production, and the flow of combustion gas. 
The cone calorimeter strictly conforms to the size of the laboratory, and the automatic control unit designed by the test software is convenient for the user to operate. In addition, he uses a 17-inch touch screen computer, which is fully compliant with international standards.

Sample preparation

  1. For each selected irradiance and exposed surface, 3 samples should be prepared for testing;
  2. The sample size is 100mm*100mm;
  3. Specimens with a nominal thickness of 50mm or less shall be tested with their actual thickness;
  4. For samples with a nominal thickness of more than 50mm, the non-exposed surface should be cut to reduce the thickness to 50mm;
  5. For samples with a thickness of less than 6mm, a base material that can represent the final use conditions should be added during the test so that the total thickness is not less than 6mm;
  6. For expansive materials, no less than 4 samples should be prepared for testing, one of which should be pre-tested.
